The Ravens brought in another arm to throw to their rookies Thursday, this time calling in Bradley George of Texas State San Marcos.

George got the call Wednesday afternoon as he was mowing his Texas lawn. He hopped a flight and arrived in Baltimore at about 1:30 a.m. George went to sleep at 2:30 and got a wake-up call at 6 a.m.

“It was short notice, but at least it’s notice,” George said. “I’m feeling pretty delirious tired right now and trying to soak up as much as I can. I’ll see if I can prove myself.”

George, who is listed at 6-5, 223 pounds, is Texas State’s career leader in passing yards (9,556), touchdowns (76) and pass efficiency (136.0). He’s 28-years old after spending four years playing minor league baseball in the Cincinnati Reds system before deciding to try his hand at football.

George also had a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks in late April. He split the reps with fellow tryout Dominic Randolph, but said he will be the only quarterback at practice Friday as Randolph has to leave due to tryout restrictions.
