Former Texas A&M football player Adren Dorsey will transfer to Lamar University and join the football team, Lamar coach Ray Woodard said Sunday night.
Dorsey, a 6-foot-2, 305-pound defensive lineman, leaves A&M after head coach Mike Sherman suspended him following an April arrest for family-violence assault charges, according to the Brazos County justice Web site.
