While is old Auburn teammate Tyrik Rollison is likely heading to Sam Houston State, has anyone heard about where Dontate Aycock is going? Who needs a running back in the south, southeast?
Aycock (5-foot-10, 218 pounds) chose Auburn over Georgia Tech shortly after his senior season at Chamberlain when the Tigers hired Chizik.
As a Chiefs senior, he totaled nearly 2,900 yards and 45 touchdowns, leading the Chiefs to the Class 5A region title game for a second season in a row and earning first-team Class 5A all-state honors. His half-brother and legal guardian, Dwight Smith, is a former Bucs defensive back.
Brian Turner said Aycock is weighing his future options, which include transferring to another Division I program and sitting out a year, or moving down to a I-AA program where he would be eligible in 2010.
