Looking more and more like Marcus Vick could be in deep doodoo again. According to this article Beamer is on his way to Newport News to discuss "options" with the Vicks. I also heard a rumor that VPI will no longer enroll this character. Would you want this guy on your team?

The stomp (and it was a stomp) was blatant, not overly violent (caused little harm I believe) but still another black eye. He is a stupid thug player just like his older brother that we have here in the ATL!

The only chance in hell this miscreant has is to transfer to VMI. (Hang on Keydets, I'm going somwhere with this...)

The discipline of a military school is the only thing that might straighten him out. I'm not saying for sure that it will, but transferring to a place like JMU or W&M will be a waste of time. He'll last about as long as Hakim Hill did at Norther Iowa.

Neither school needs him. Rascati is a very capable QB at JMU and they just recruited a QB stud from Centreville high, and W&M frequently churns out quality QBs.

Apparently the newest development in this is that Vick got picked for driving with a suspended/revoked license on December 17. It wasn't filed until after the Gator Bowl. I'm sure Beamer had nothing to do with that one.

I am not surprised. Beamer is leading a program of undisciplined thugs. He needs to get a grip on things or be fired. He probably will not be fired because it is all about money and winning nowadays. Sportsmanship and class seems to be becoming a thing of the old days unfortunately.

pretty much

Beamer said he was meeting with Vick and his mother to discuss a suspension, all the while the President is saying Vick's football career at VT is over

Anyone watch the VT/NC State game and count the Michael Vick references? I stopped at 75, and that was right after halftime

Don't know why your bringing Michael into this. As a huge Falcons fan (raised in Atl) I've had some issues with his play lately and the fact that we gave him a 100 MILLION dollar contract which will extend beyond the years of his amazing speed....but anyway, Michael Vick is a pretty nice dude. Works with the community a lot, doesn't cause ruckus in the locker room, and (most of the time) plays with a lotta heart. Believe me, Michael's more pissed about his brother right now than any of the Hokies, I'm sure. And IMHO, he's the only person on Earth who might be able to beat some semblence of sense into MVII.

I don't like him because he tried to break a football player's leg on National TV. I don't like him because he lied by saying he apologized to Dumervil. I don't like him because he waved a gun at 3 teenagers in a McDonald's parking lot (I assume because he wanted a Big Mac and was broke after the fines/charges/lawyer fees stemming from his prior driving incidents). I don't like him because he's received 9 traffic offenses since he enrolled at VT in '02. I don't like him because he allegedly had sex with a 15 year-old (you have to be pretty stupid to even put yourself in such a situation to be accused of such an action). I don't like him because he has so much talent, yet he is too damn stupid to know what to do with it and will probably spend the rest of his life in trouble with the law.

Agree with putting yourself in a position like this...........but I gave him benifit of the doubt when the whole story came out. Just leaving highschool, that was the age of girls he was used to dating. Can't do that anymore. I figured that would make him realize it's a whole new ballgame now.

But he has proven he needs someone on his arse to point him in the right direction.

I never said I didn't like the whole family

I said that ESPN loves them for some apparent reason, Marcus is a thug as we have found out several times, and Michael is the most overrated starting QB in the NFL

I am sorry... not to good with 1-AA teams but are you a Jackson State guy? If so, you are saying this because where Archie and Eli played school. Ole Miss has to be proud of something in football, besides the Mannings what does Ole Miss have? NOTHING!!! Ok wait... they did have Deuce (sorry).
If you want to say anything with Peyton... what do you expect when he is one of the best quaterbacks in the NFL!!! He has something to be proud of. In reality MSU, USM, Ole Miss, and mainly every school (execpt jr. colleges) in the state of Mississippi have never had a family combination such as Eli and Archie or players that had that much impact on a team (or state).

Somebody would. Seriously. Even if they whore themselves out, he never goes to class and goes pro after the season and never finishes.

The biggest question in this scenario is, is he eligible academically? He probably bailed on last semesters classes, and VT doesn't give a rat's ass about him anymore, so there is no 'help' on the way from them.

If he transfers and has eligibility issues, he will have to be a good boy for at least one semester.
