Football Spring Practice Update #4: Thursday, April 22

WCU continues its third week of drills this weekend

April 22, 2010

Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina continued its third week of spring drills, concluding practice No. 10 on Thursday morning on the turf at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field. The squad was greeted with fall-like temperatures early in the practice, with the artificial surface radiating heat by the time the final stretch session was whistled.

As has been the case with the majority of the spring practice sessions, Thursday's workout included individual position work culminating with team drills, offense versus defense. Quarterbacks Zack Jaynes and Casey Turner continued to split reps under center, mixing in the running attack with passing game in a half-pad workout.
