Espn said that its his job to lose. The Cedar Rapids Gazette will report that he will interview tomorrow.
Ferentz will be the next coach of the Texans and will lead them to the playoffs.

So, if Ferentz leaves Iowa, who would be in line to replace him. If he leaves, I hope he does it now. Otherwise, in a couple of years, Mike Stoops could become a candidate for any Iowa vacancy.

Ferentz is the most oft mentioned name as a replacement for Paterno (from PSU faithful at least). Not sure how much of a big step up it would be from Iowa, given that it's a great program that has outperformed PSU the past few years but I know they were hoping that he'd be the guy.
Interested to see how this changes that.

This is a no lose situation for Ferentz. It won't be hard to get the Texans to improve. It was a freakin' two win team this past year! ESPN says it's the best job available because of the facilities, owner and the fact there's two wins to show for last year. So, it's not like your walking onto a team that expects to be in the playoffs next year...

I think that Tom Bradley is the man when Paterno steps down sometime in 2015.
