Smart move by SLU...

They have truly secured their future with an individual that has elevated the program and will get them over that hump. If they can somehow beat SFA this year, they may even go to the playoffs this year - have a tough finish to the season...

Yes, it's a tough finish with road games at Stephen F. Austin (Saturday) and Nicholls State (Thursday) ... should be better than last year after facing the Air Raid Jacks and finishing with the triple option.

A possible chance to get off to a real good start with FBS road games at Tulane and Louisiana-Monroe with home games against UT-Martin and Lamar sandwiched in-between.

We also get Texas State, McNeese State and Northwestern State all at home.

Defense is looking real strong in spring drills (10 starters back on that side of the ball including injured players Tommy Connors and Devin Boutwell ... DT who missed entire season after getting honorable mention All-SLC honors in 2008)
