Did anyone see the Iowa/FLorida game...at the end of the 1st half, they called a helmet to helmet foul on Iowa when the DE's helmet never touched the FLA QB at all, that led to a FLA TD. Then with 1:30 to go, Iowa scores to make it 31-24 and have a successful ondside kick...but the official calls it offsides when no Iowa player was even close to the line. I do not care for Iowa or Florida but I think the officials may have cost Iowa a good chance at winning that game. And whats worse, they were C-USA officials for a Big Ten/SEC teams. C-USA officials never see talent like this and have no business officiating this Bowl game

Ferentz said the officiating was "consistent". If Iowa dosen't get a generous 2 yard spot for a first down, they aren't in the position to make the onside kick at the end of the game. It works both ways.

How about blind officials?
Anyone see the Tech/Louisville game? Marcus Vick intentionally spiked Elvis Dumerville. To me that's worse than throwing a punch. Vick should have been ejected. What is it with Virginia and Virginia Tech with the cheapshots?

I pull for the SEC but for when I was watching the game I did think Iowa got the definite short end of the stick in the officiating. I didn't see the generous spot for the first down but every time I did see the officials make a bad call it seemed to go Florida's way.
I'm not sure about the offsides call on the onside kick though. Don't know what the rule is. If it's based on the feet he wasn't offsides but if it's based on any part of the body it was close because he was really leaning forward.

Ferentz was taking the coaches no comment position. Yes, Florida took advantages of the opportunies they were given, but the refs consistently missed calls that hurt Iowa and benefited Florida. The BS helmet to helmet and the offsides calls dramatically effected the out come ot this game. There were others as well, Hinkel's catch where he was carried out of bounds, ruled incomplete, the non-call against Leak for grounding. These clowns shouldn't be allowed to ref a bowl game again.

Happy New Year Reed! I think that Kirk made that comment tongue in cheek. Dolph and Podolak were really chuckling after he said that. I bleed Purple and Gold but that was a f'ing bs call for the Hawks. I would seriously check the dude's bank account who called it offsides. He had some action in Vegas on this one, and I'm only HALF kidding!! :eyebrow:

Hinkel's catch where he was carried out of bounds, ruled incomplete
In college a defender is allowed to carry the receiver out of bounds for an incompletion. Only in the NFL can a completion be called when the receiver is carried out of bounds in the air.

She's hot but she doesn't compare to this Carolina girl IMHO.

Today the officials for Conf USA admitted their refs blew, at least the off-sides call.
Appears after the Alamo & Outback screw ups by smaller conf refs bowl officials are looking into not having refs from smaller conf handle the bigger games. Doesn't help my Hawks, but its something.

I agree. Now that I see the picture that was definitely a bad call. Most of the time officials calls tend to come pretty close to evening out but I don't think it was the case in that game.

She'd look better without the bleach job. Whatever her natual hair color is I'll bet she'd look better if she just left it as it is so it wouldn't look all dry and damaged like it does.

Yes, I said that. Her hair looks damaged to me. It also most definitely looks like a bleach job to me.
Don't get me wrong, if I was a kid I'd be thrilled to get connected to a young woman that looks like that. But I think most women who bleach their hair would look better if they didn't.

No offense meant John, just thought that it sounded a little weird. I also like the natural look, but I am a male and the hair is not always what Im looking at. She is a NICE looking woman.
