Savannah State's volleyball coach has been arrested for violating probation. Honestly, things are getting beyond rediculous over there. What is the MEAC thinking?

Actually he was on probation for unpaid fines of $706.00 His arrest was for contempt of court which suggests he was not paying for his fines in the manner that was agreed upon when he was put on probation.

Since he was found guilty of not paying his traffic fines (how does some idiot rack up $706 in traffic fines in Georgia is beyond me. In Delaware this would involve 10 or more incidents. ) he would then have a criminal record.

This type of record would preclude him from coaching High School Volleyball in Delaware. Forget about him getting any consideration for a college job. A UD football assistant was fired for getting a DUI.

If SSU was unaware of this coach's behavior up to now they have the ability to change the situation and fire this irresponsible jerk.

Otherwise I guess unpaid fines are the role model for MEAC athletics.

Is his salary so bad that $706 cannot be paid???? If he learned to write a check all would be fine and this wouldn't come up at all.
