The Southland writer was supportive!

Perhaps the only one? xwhistlex

True. It appears you're alone on this issue over there.

For the West, we are flying most likely whereever the game is (even if it was in the West) so I had no support either way. I wish Frisco well. I hope they can acheive the same level (or surpase) what Chatty had.

This is our home for the title game for the next three years so lets start supporting it.

There are only supporters of FCS at CSN. There are not any bitter or derogatory comments about the decision at CSN. Burton's blog is humorous and Wallace's blog congratulates Frisco. xpeacex

Sure sounds like bitterness to me.

But hey maybe that's just my interpretation (and at least 2 others).

I couldn't resist: here's my (somewhat) tongue-in-cheek list as to why Frisco, Texas - a town without a FCS team to call home - won the bidding to become the home of the FCS National Championship game for the next three years.

I see folks have a hard time reading.

Uhhh...you qualified it with "somewhat" and just because you write "Just Kidding" before it doesn't mean the tone doesn't suggest otherwise...That's like saying "with all due respect" and then disagreeing. You still disagree.

I'm just kidding with all due respect of course. ;)

I thought the humorous swipes at Chatty and Frisco, Tennessee and Texas were all funny Mr. Burton. xthumbsupx

I see that Mr. Burton calls it the "FCS Championship Game" in his CSN column . . .xchinscratchx

From Ralph's Rag, "Congrats on your selection Frisco, now get to work on training the press around there to have enough respect for the game to call it what it is."

As I told Ralph in response to his column, it is a problem that all the media have to overcome, not just the DFW area media that he made sure to mention in his blog (http://www.collegesportingnews.com/entry.php?54-Mistakes-Abound-in-Frisco-Announcement).

Nature of the beast...we all are party to fixing it!

Where's your response?

I read this (http://www.collegesportingnews.com/entry.php?54-Mistakes-Abound-in-Frisco-Announcement) with no comments from you, mentioning more than Dallas media:

"It is no wonder that ESPN got it wrong, but the Dallas papers that we are counting on got it wrong too. One of them (Dallas News) even called it "second tier."

Publications across the nation made the same mistake.

*sigh*

Congrats on your selection Frisco, now get to work on training the press around there to have enough respect for the game to call it what it is.

It a teachable moment, an opportunity. "
