Not a bad thing when you add a head coach from any other level of college football to your squad, especially when it is one that was successful (and a NAIA National Coach of the Year).

Still do not see a release from NDSU, but that's the write-up from someone that covers McPherson College in Kansas...


McPherson, Kan. — It was an announcement Monday like a thunderbolt from the sky.

McPherson College head football coach Brian Ward, coming off a 2009 season in which he led the Bulldogs to a 9-2 record and first-ever appearance in the NAIA playoffs -- garnering him College Fanz National Coach of the Year honors -- announced his resignation in a late afternoon meeting with his team.
