I think technically they broke the law. Taking a football from a ballboy is theft and hitting somebody with a football helmet is assault and battery with a weapon.
I was pulling for LSU and I'm glad they pummelled Miami like it did but I don't think I can defend the wide receiver starting all this by taking the football from the ball boy. I don't think he could've predicted what was going to happen as a result but it still wasn't a very classy thing to do.
