Because of the almost month-long interruption of AGS, I thought twice about creating a new 2010 college baseball season thread. But it was only for the polls.
Fullerton is ranked in the top 5 of the five major polls. We're starting the season at home against Oregon, Coach Horton's current team.
Harvard will not start the season until March.

Ok...so UNH doesn't have baseball. Can any help me in finding a team I can pull for this year? I always have wanted to get into college baseball, but living in the northeast it is damn impossible. Not many schools have teams etc...and those that do don't play at home until late April it seems. I love watching the CWS but between now and then I get nothing, and even then I am unsure of who I should throw support to...any suggestions?

I would suggest you root for Cal Poly. Here's why:
Everybody likes to pull for the underdog.
Competes in the very tough Big West. (with CS Fullerton & UC Irvine)
Finished 3rd in the Big West in 2009.
Made the NCAA tournement for the first time in 2009.
Picked to finish 3rd in the Big West again. (Could do better if the pitching lives up to potential.)
Won the D-II National Championship in 1989.
Alma Mater of John Madden (catcher 1958), Ozzie Smith and Mike Krukow.
Plays Southern Cal (3), Arizona State, Oregon State and UCLA (3) during the first month of the 2010 season.

I like the fact that they won the D-II National Championhip...my alma mater won in Soccer that year...Southern NH University (formerly New Hampshire College)...so I like that they moved up. Def. dig on the underdog role, especially in baseball. How is the broadcasts via the internet? Being on the east coast...the times might be hard considering most of their games end when I am in bed or damn near ready.

For broadcasts on the internet go to gopoly.com then click on Baseball then click on schedule and there is a link to Audio/Gametracker/and Video sometimes. Here is the link.

Elon's schedule can be found here:
http://www.elonphoenix.com/schedule.aspx?sid=bb
I'm really excited that we are taking part in Rice's tournament (incudes us, Rice, Texas A&M CC and Nebraska) and that we get to host North Carolina. It's gonna be real interesting to see how we replace all the hitting we lost last year when we led the nation in home runs. We've lost I think all but 2 starters from last year, but we return pretty much all our pitching and Kennedy has always found good young guys to replace those who have graduated/left early.
Also, I saw rivals.com had a preview for the Southern Conference. I think his predictions may be a little off (I don't see El Cid winning it this year, but I could be wrong), but hey, it's better than nothing right?

Also, 7 Elon players have been recognized by SEBaseball.com, including Jimmy Reyes being named pre-season SoCon Pitcher of the Year, and they have picked Elon to finish second in the SoCon.
http://www.elonphoenix.com/news.aspx?sid=bb&nid=6929
Oh, and iy top that off, pitcher Jimmy Reyes was picked as the preseason pitcher of the year (went 8-0 with a 4.78 ERA, 101 Ks and only 19 walks) and was one of six Phoenix named to the preseason All-SoCon teams. Oh, and we were also picked to repeat as conference champs.
6 days until the season opener against Towson and counting.

Fullerton hasn't recovered from its struggles at Rosenblatt last season. We were upset by Oregon 7-3, and got blanked by Pepperdine 6-0.
There is a strong possibility that Fullerton will drop from the polls on Monday.
