WOW! What a finish. I was really hoping that Michigan would score on that last play, using the photographers on the field as a screen.
Anyone else think the refs need to be reprimanded?

If anybody doesn't already know I am a huge Michigan fan. So obviously my opinion is biased, but, the Sun Belt officials just further proved what a total joke that league is. Michigan had to waste 2 timeouts just to get a couple of plays reviewed, the officials just stand over the ball for at least 5 seconds in the last minute before winding the clock, they totally blew a pass inteference call on Michigans last drive & finally Nebraskas whole team is on the field as the last play is going on & not even a single flag? :bang: I think Herbie & Tirico were even aghast that such bush league officiating could take place in a bowl game. I am just so frustrated I don't even know what to say. Both teams deserved better than that garbage. Go Blue!!!

I still have not seen anyone ask the question of why the guy who finally got tackled didn't give the ball to Breaston who was running right next to him when he was in the open field at about the 50. If he gives him the ball, Breaston has a great chance to cut across the field and get to the end zone. Also, as he was being shoved out of bounds, why didn't he even think about lateraling?

Those officals were horbile but I wouldn't give Toricio much credit for anything last night as he had commended them early in the game after they had blow a few plays already (and it sounded like he had money riding the line for the cornflakes).
I thought it was really funny that Loyd Carr is now ready for a playoff in I-A. Noting that it doesn't seem fair that we are rewarding teams for how well their fans travel and how good their TV ratings are.

I have a feeling that Lloyd would be none too happy about the I-AA system. It should be pointed out Tirico does live in Ann Arbor.

The only thing Lloyd Carr should be ready for right now is getting fired.

I would be willing to bet my job that Lloyd Carr is back next year. Michigan suffered way to many injuries this year to place the blame on the coaching staff. People seem to forget that Michigan played in the last 2 Rose Bowls & had been in a January bowl every year since '95. That doesn't seem to merit a firing to me.

In all fairness they also got snubbed. Iowa got picked to go to the Outback bowl with the same record yet lost to Michigan. Go figure.

Sorry but Michigan got hosed because of a couple of bad calls and un-called penelties. :nonono2:

And the fact that they lost a few games during the season, thus the fact they are playing in what amounts to a consolation bowl game on the 28th of December.
