I can understand your feelings...but the people blowing those horns are having a great time and it only adds to the atmosphere of the games...I say keep 'em unless people begin to use them for other purposes. They are not hurting anyone!

More time watching the match, less time making noise with one of the most annoying things in the world.

bit late to reply but nothing wrong with making a bit of noise at a football game

How 'bout cow bells? Flat out great noisemaker for the skiing/bobsledding events at the Olympics - why not at soccer games?
My luvly U16 daughter has politely told me that she'll kill me, flat out shoot me dead, if I show up at her soccer games with any sort of noisemaker, after I said I need to get cowbells for her games...

Get used to noise the Vuvuzela is apparently very popular in South Africa

I don't mind the Vuvuzela..I even owned one myself (until someone used it to smoke cigarettes in). I even like thunder sticks. But the cowbell shouldn't be played. It was hard to concentrate in my high school soccer games with the rednecks in the other stands playing 50-60 cowbells
You know what's even worse....air horns. The humanity of it all.....
