First I've heard of it - though this article comes from about two weeks ago. Think it will succeed? A very southern feel to the league with two teams in Oklahoma, one in Louisiana, one in Texas and two in Florida.
Wish they'd put a team in New Orleans, but Benson let that crumble ahead of the AFL's collapse. The Voodoo were one of the most successful teams in the league.
Of note - the Commish of af2 is the one running this league. This league also bought "all team names, logos, records, film and video libraries, and other assets from the Arena Football League".
Arena Football One will be a mix of former AFL and af2 teams, with Chicago as the largest market. Tampa, Fla., Arizona, Cleveland, Orlando, Dallas and Utah -- all former AFL locations -- will also be represented in the new league.
The league will also have teams in smaller markets such as Spokane, Wash., Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Okla., Milwaukee and Bossier-Shreveport, La. League offices will be in Tulsa.
