Albeit a little outdated. I poached all the Colgate tickets out of these lots and have no use for the rest. If anyone wants to take some or all of these off my hands then send me an email with your address and let me know which ones you want. [email protected]

thanks,
Ryan

Wow - what surprised me was the 1980 ticket had the picture on it! I didnt think tickets in that era had advanced that far! I think BU won that game? I was a freshman but they only won 3 games that year - and didnt score a TD in six games that year! One of the wins was in Easton vs. Penn a 3-0 Homecoming win! But I think one of our only chances that year would be against the Bison! The next year we pasted the Bison in Easton (Bill Russo's first year) 37-0 and I was at the game - with Warner Wolf!! (J/K - a tribute to the late George Michael, but I was at the game!)

Those are great GR...have a bunch of old, 50's-70's HC memorabilia myself.

Attended those PU games in 1971 (including the Colgate game, which we lost). God I feel old.

Mathewson played baseball and football for the Bison.

It's funny, I have Colgate tickets going back to 1905 and from those early days until the 80's tickets were between $2 and $3. Now they are $10 or $15 (at Colgate), oy. All about the Benjamins these days I guess (even though $2.50 back in the Great Depression must have been asking a lot for a football game).

I'll have to look at my Dad's 2008 ticket to see what it looks like. Still haven't been able to open up the box of programs and tickets I saved from '08. I think I even have a Costal Carolina football team locker room towel that got mixed in with my stuff during the rain delay.

I was looking at your collection GR and that's what struck me as well...was shocked to see tickets going for like $2.65 in 1940.....a hefty sum then.

No, but I think he might have been one of the original "Patriots" for whom the league was named.

I was at the Lehigh-Bucknell game in '89. I believe that was the final year that Christy Mathewson Stadium was in a full horseshoe. The stadium was in real rough shape if i remember correctly. I was 7 years old!! I recall going back in '91 and the stadium being a lot nicer. The game in '91 was the same day as FSU-Miami Wide Right I and i'll never forget two guys with a battery operated TV at the top of the stadium screeming and shouting after FSU missed the FG.

Christy Mathewson was born 5 minutes up the road from me in Factoryville, PA
