Looks like we got Jacklolski, as well as 4 other CC transfers. Some very interesting awards under their belts. Should be a competitive season.

Hopefully the BS will schedule SB @ Liberty for the last weekend, as that looks like it could very well be the game to decide the BS again.

Unfortunately for us, that's when the game will be. Our students will be gone for Thanksgiving so we'll only have 10,000 as opposed to 16-17,000.

Liberty is out the entire week of Thanksgiving, so our student leave on Friday. We don't get out for Labor Day or Columbus Day or any of the other ____ Day holidays in the fall, so they give us an entire week at Thanksgiving.

If the game is for the BS title, you'd think a lot would stick around till Sat.

A lot of good talent from HU coming over. I look forward to seeing them finish their careers at SBU

If next years game is anything like this years Liberty fans will miss alot. That was a nail biter right until the end. It was probably one of the best games Stony Brook played since moving to D-1. This year we will be deeper all around and with three superb running backs now -we will always have fresh legs.

i was at the SB/LU game this year and it was by far the most entertaining football game ive ever seen. i think more students will stick around this time than did for the elon game in 08. a lot more. if we can get 8,000 students to show up 3 hours early in the pouring rain against JMU , than we can stay for 2 more days for a guaranteed play-in game for the playoffs.

a bus ride away - it's ridiculous that we don't play each other every single year. helps both programs out. not as much of a natural rival for you as hofstra but likely the closest we can both get.

The only other metropolitan rivalry opportunity for us is Wagner...and without any disrespect, they're not the type of frame rival either school's looking for (though an ex-SBU QB is their head coach).

Would be nice to see Fordham play SBU. Maybe with the empty spot SBU now has with the Hofstra game gone?

It would be good to see such a home and away series start upxthumbsupx

Looks like we got another one. Seems to have played a bit for Rutgers, and comes in with some fantastic credentials. Thoughts?

Stony Brook Football Adds Another Mid-Year Transfer
Seawolves Sign Seventh Mid-Year Transfer

Dec. 28, 2009

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University head football coach Chuck Priore has announced that he has added another mid-year transfer to the Seawolves roster for 2010. Al-Majid Hutchins (East Orange, N.J.) will be transferring from Rutgers University and will join the team in January. He will be a junior for the Seawolves during the 2010 season.

A 5-11, 185-lb. cornerback, Hutchins saw action in six games for the Scarlet Knights in the just completed 2009 season. A 2007 graduate of East Orange High School, he was rated the No. 1 cornerback in the state of New Jersey by Rivals.com. As a senior at East Orange he finished with 42 tackles, two interceptions, eight passes broken up, three forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries as he was named first team All-Essex by the Star-Ledger. A three-year starter in high school, Hutchins was invited to play in the 2007 NY/NJ High School All-Star Classic at Rutgers Stadium.

Seems like we found a replacement for Chris Richards. Looks like a solid recruit.
