Flyers.... what happened?

I only get Caps news in this town. What the hell has happened to the Flyers this season? They came out looking like a top 5 team, now they can't even come close to winning? Philly guys, what's up with our team? :( xbawlingx

Not to mention recurring injuries to Gagne and Briere, a single shift defense that drops off like a cliff when Pronger needs a breather, and a punchless offense.

Wouldn't those teams be in the same irrelevent group as the Knicks?
I think they've all been a lot more regular than the Knicks at making the playoffs. Knicks have only been to the playoffs twice in the 2000's (2001 and 2004) and lost in the first round both times. xpeacex

Not really, at least for the Mets and Sabres. Mets only went in 2000 and 2006, Sabres only twice since the 2000-01 season.

Hard to compare baseball where half the number of teams make the playoffs.... Sabres maybe only twice, but one of those had a victory over the Flyers (they've actually beaten the Flyers in two consecutive series). I'm sure Bo has similar reasoning for the Knicks, but assuming he's a Bulls fan, he should love the Knicks... they were cannon fodder for the Bulls. xpeacex

If you don't hear anything about the Flyers in DC don't worry, no one is talking about them in Philly either. The Sixers & Flyers are practically invisible right now.

Tonight's Flyers game should be fun to watch. They are playing Florida for the first time since October when Mike Richards blind-side checked David Booth.

Florida made two roster moves to bring up goons (one of them 6' 5" 250 lbs Steve MacIntyre) from the minor leagues just for this game.

There will be blood.

They won't be calling Laviolette "Mr. Turnaround" after this run. He has done nothing to inspire this team. They wouldn't be able to put the puck into a soccer net at this point.

The really sad part is, Florida came to kick ass, and they didn't have to do it with their fists.
