The Montreal Canadiens host the Boston Bruins in their first home game since news broke several days ago that the daughter of former Habs player and now general manager Bob Gainey had been lost at sea. Laura Gainey, 25, was swept overboard from the deck of a merchant vessel in the North Atlantic and all search efforts were unavailing. A moment of silence before the game turns into a long emotional ovation from the Montreal fans. Former Bruin Sergei Samsonov scores twice for Les Canadiens, who win the game, 4-3.
