I'm a Louisville fan, and WCU was just the better team today. Louisville has played some awful basketball the last few times out. They had three gaurds out for the last game (two starters, and a top 50 freshman). They all played today, but from what I saw only Preston Knowles was effective at all. The curious thing for the Cards is the way Samardo Samuels is struggling right now...He should have had an easy time today and he didn't.

While we're patting our FCS teams on the back though EKU took Maryland down to the wire before losing by a deceptive 83-72 margin. The Colonels are a solid 7-3 with one of the other losses being to Pitt out of the Big East.

If by "suck" you mean third in the Sagarin out of 32 conferences, and 14 out of 16 teams in the top 100 out of 340 then sure...

Big East is sucking

Big East is No. 1 in the country in conference RPI by a wide margin, has 6 teams in the top 12 in RPI, and 13 in the top 100. I bet every conference would like to "suck" that bad.

Louisville seemed to right the ship last night. Oral Roberts, who just beat Missouri, got ripped by 37 in Freedom Hall...and that was with the Louisville scrubs playing most of the second half. As concerned as everyone gets, the Cards went through a very similar start last year before earning the #1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament. I'm not saying that's going to happen a game, but it takes a team a month or two to real get down Pitino's defensive scheme.
