The glory days are back my friends!! The 'Cuse knocked off their 3rd top 25 team last night in Tampa. The Gators tested the Orange a few times when they got hot from 3-point land, launching several NBA distance 3's, but 'Cuse had an answer for every run. Haven't seen them look this athletic in a long time, and they're deep for once. If they could only knock FT's down better, but.

They could stay undefeated until a trip to Morgantown on 1/16.

This thread, which was ridiculous at the time, looks funnier and funnier now: http://www.anygivensaturday.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65839&page=3

My favorite line: It does expose weak teams. I dont think Syracuse let off the throtle any in their loss.

Then I guess LeMoyne should be in the top five in the country!

I completely forgot about that game. Syracuse clearly got their stuff together after that.

That's what happens when a group of guys who play nothing but zone try to play man I guess.

Let's face it, they look a little more focused now.

So much for this being a down year for the Big East xrolleyesx
I love how every year they try to prop up the Big Ten and ACC and say it will be a "down year" for the big east. I guess a down year for the BE means that they'll only get six or seven teams into the big dance.

I'm quite looking forward to the 27th of Feb. when Villanova travels to the dome to take on Cuse. The 'Cats always seem to play well up there for some reason.

Big East has been and will be the best overall conference for sometime to come. You could argue potentially for the ACC every now and then, but who in their right mind would ever argue for the Big 10? xrolleyesx

If you could argue for the ACC now and then and the Big 10 beats them in the challenge, then you could argue for the Big 10. Just sayin.

Pretty big stretch there....winning 6 of 11 games in a week in December doesn't do much for me.

I love this years 'Cuse team. They have length for the zone, the best front court in the country and shooters. This is the best team Jimmy B. has had since Warrick's Sr. year. Hopefully this year ends on a higher note, unless they face my Owls. I've been going to the Dome since i was a kid. I already have my tickets for the Georgetown game on the 1/25. There's not many better atmospheres than 30k+ at the Carrier Dome for a college basketball game.

'Cuse up to #5. That 'Nova-SU game in the Dome this year is one of those 9:00pm ESPN Saturday night games. Expect 30-35K plus.

#5 seems about right. The grind begins on the 29th against Seton Hall.
