If the America East gets any smaller we may drop off the map. Vermont dropped baseball after last season so as it is the conference this spring will look like this:
Stony Brook
Albany
Maine
UMBC
Binghamton
Hartford
Thats only 20 conference games for each team in a 54 game schedule.

Is that still enough teams to get an auto-bid?

Why isn't the Patriot League among the worst? It had only one team with a winning record and one of the lowest SOS ratings.

The Patriot League really does blow this year.
4 or 5 years ago we had teams winning NCAA tourney games and Bucknell and Holy Cross looked like they were turning into bonafide mid-major powers.
Now they all suck. The PL still beats the NEC quite regularly however.

The AE is still eligible for an auto bid . Stony Brook and Binghamton should be the strength of the conference in 2010.

The Sun Belt Conference is a bonafide Top 10 conference and deservedly so. WKU has taken teams to the wire in recent seasons and the power has shifted to WKU and MTSU.
