Karim, SIU to face nation?s top rushing defense

The sixth-ranked Tribe (10-2) leads the Football Championship Subdivision in rushing defense, allowing an average of 50.33 yards per game. The top-ranked Salukis (11-1) come into Saturday’s second-round playoff game fourth in the country in rushing with a 232.5-yard average.
“Predominantly, we’re a run-first, and then see what the defense gives us after that,” said SIU quarterback Paul McIntosh, the team’s second-leading rusher. “We always want to establish a good, power running game. Like I said, we’ve been able to do that all year, and that’s what we’re going to try to continue to do.”
