How ironic is it that Montana receives a vote via the App State rule a week before they play App State

We'll we're not the 38th best team either, doesn't mean it couldn't happen

Does Brent Musberger have a vote in the AP poll? If so, that's likely where the lone vote for Montana came from.

Why would he vote for the Griz?

According to Wikipedia...Musberger lived halfway between Bozeman and Billings. So that means there's a 50% chance he voted for y'all (and a 50% chance he would have voted you out of the FCS Top 25 :D).

Why would he vote for the Griz?
Musberger is from Montana, and during the Notre Dame/Stanford game, he kept mentioning our comeback against South Dakota State.

Congrats but it may be the kiss of death. The Spiders lost by one by missing a short field goal the week after they got a top 25 vote...and App State is a damn good football team

He has a house in Hamilton which is about 45 minutes south of Missoula and he is a Griz fan....however i doubt thats where the lone vote came from.

According to Pollspeak.com, the writer that voted the Griz #25 was Ray Ratto of the San Francisco Chronicle. He's also the same guy that voted Richmond #25 earlier in the year.

Musberger is from Big Timber (like you said, between Bozeman and Billings), same place Bobby Hauck is from. However he isn't a voting member.

UM has nobody to thank but themselves for their season thus far. Same goes for getting votes in a poll.

Same goes for getting votes in a poll.

You mean the poll that FCS teams weren't allowed to receive votes in a few years ago... that is until a certain team beat a top 5 FBS team? :D

Good for I-AA, but a joke at the same time. They didn't even play a I-A this year. When App got votes, at least that made some sense as they played and beat a ranked I-A. xconfusedx

Just because Arizona beat an unranked USC team they get ranked? We could have had Montana & Villanova?
