Eric Ward Named Finalist For 2009 Dudley Award
The Dudley Award is presented annually to best Division-I football player in Virginia.
Richmond senior QB Eric Ward has been named one of three finalists for the Dudley Award, presented annually to best Division-I football player in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The award will be presented by the Touchdown Club of Richmond Tuesday night.
Ward joins fellow seniors - Virginia Tech LB Cody Grimm and James Madison DE Arthur Moats - as the other finalists. The Atlanta, Ga. native is looking to become just the second-ever Spider to win the award, joining DT Marc Megna (1998).
