Montana has a morning practice, and players are off and on their own until Friday. A few players are from Missoula and have friends over. A number of the players drive to their hometowns in Montana. The other players have dinner at various places, including their own apartments (sometimes cooked by their parents who are in town), with friends or with families.

Alabama State (SWAC) & Tuskegee (D-2 SIAC) play in the 86th Annual Turkey Day Classic. It is also Alabama State's Homecoming Game. A&T & Murray State, on the other hand, just go home and spend time with family and friends.

EIU practices in the morning then cuts the non travel guys loose til sunday. The travel team has the option of going home and eating or going to a team dinner at Richards Farm that outside of momma's cooking is bar none the best Thanksgiving meal you could ask for. Happy Holidays to all the teams in the playoffs. No where else you'd rather be than practicing on Thanksgiving day!!

Ask "what if we didn't lose to ___________?" It's a common practice in Lynchburg

Don't know about other years, but this year they go home the weekend before and to find out by e-mail that their coach was let go without getting a chance to talk to them, then they spend the holiday wondering who their new coach will be.

I don't know for sure but my understanding is that McNeese stayed in Lake Charles to prepare for the game. My understanding is that in 2007 the head coach gave them some time off to go home and such for Thanksgiving and doesn't think that worked out too well. Don't know for sure if that's an accurate story but it's my understanding. Other McNeese people probably know the truth of the situation.
