Hey AGS...last year, some of us did a NIT bracket for those teams (obviously) not in the FCS playoffs. Thought it would be fun to do it again.

Anyways, here's my bracket. I excluded teams who finished below .500 overall and gave each AQ conference an auto-bid. I also didn't use any teams that were ineligible for the FCS Playoffs and didn't consider geography as a factor in matchups. All higher seeded teams (hypothetically) host.

Auto Bids
Colgate--Patriot
Delaware--Colonial
Florida A&M--MEAC
Furman--Southern
Illinois State--Missouri Valley
Montana State--Big Sky
Stony Brook--Big South
Tennessee Tech--Ohio Valley
Texas State--Southland

At Large
Central Connecticut State--Northeast
James Madison--Colonial
Lafayette--Patriot
Liberty--Big South
Missouri State--Missouri Valley
Southeastern Louisiana--Southland
UC Davis--Great West

1---Northern Iowa
16--Stony Brook

11--Furman

3---Colgate
14--Southeastern Louisiana

7---Florida A&M
10--Lafayette

After Round One:

I like it, except I'd like Colgate to play Delaware again.

Replace Chatty with GSU and I'm okay with it. GSU and Chatty have the same SoCon record and GSU beat Chatty. Also, GSU beat Albany and they are better than Presbyterian and Glenville State. xthumbsupx

Where is your PFL representative? Either Butler or Dayton.

As much as it pains me to say it...I dont see Stony Brook as a 16. I would think that CCSU is at least comparable to Stony Brook.

Jax State and Chatty are in the same boat APR wise, so if you aren't including the Cocks, you shouldn't include the Mocs. Plus you totally left out the OVC. Tn Tech should be in given your selection criteria.

You have Illinois State as the AQ for the MVFC, which would be correct since they won the head-to-head. But then you don't have them in the bracket. xconfusedx

lol with those, i just ranked them according to how they finished in their conference (Texas State higher than SELA and Delaware...well, the CAA ain't too bad) and the strength of their conference...

dang, just realized I made alot of mistakes. I shouldn't have done this while drinking...hahaxlolx

Kidding of course. But Delaware and SLU should have been higher. You should know about the SLU game ... that's probably when you started drinking :p (again, kidding)
