As soon as the computers stop theirs? Just kidding. JMU is a very good team. The Nova loss hurt a lot, though. Penn played them tougher, in many eyes.

Darn computers! Yeah 5-5 doesn't garner a ton of respect no matter who against really

Human voters have trouble ranking a .500 team. That Hofstra loss (and the 4 game losing streak it started where Thorpe was struggling) killed JMU.

I'd rank them right now.

Had they not lost to Hofstra, (and if they beat Towson) I'd give them a bid -- they are a team nobody would want to face in the first round. A 7-4 team whose losses are in OT to FBS and to 3 of the top 5 FCS teams...scary.

The difference between 6-4 and 5-5 is astronomical.

Admittedly Hofstra was a bad loss, however if we had not fumbled and beaten you all (UR), we'd be right in the middle of the playoff picture. However, we did not, so we'll sit at home this year. xbawlingx

But that's no excuse for not fully exercising JMU's East Coast Bias here. No one beyond the Eastern Divide gets in, I say.

I'll get shot for saying this, but in all honesty, JMU could be considered a borderline playoff team. they are not a top 10 team, but things get very blurry around 14-18, which would include JMU IMO. Is MSU or EWU better than JMU - very debatable. but you are correct, East Coast is way overrated by the computers, especially the CAA which was over-hyped to begin. xwhistlex

What I've found interesting about this thread the past few weeks is that Montana is consistently biased favorably by humans, while the rest of the Big Sky is consistently biased unfavorably by the humans.

Humans are subjective, and Montana has one of the best nicknames. That counts for a lot. xnodx

Then how come Richmond never shows up on the human bias list? :)
