Just saw this as well.

I think it's cool she decided to go back home to be closer to her family, especially her deaf and blind sister.

Oh, and to obliterate any decency I created in this post, I'd totally hit it. xlolx

She is from Delaware and was a superstar basketball recruit, hence UConn. After 2 weeks at UConn she decided she wanted to be home. I believe UConn had her agree not to play anywhere for a year and most likely Tennessee ever to let her out of her commitment. I also believe she played volleyball at UD last year before being able to join the basketball team this year.

She quit basketball to play Volleyball at Delaware last year. She then decided to play basketball again.

Actually, it was just two days into taking summer courses at UConn.

And yes, she did play last year for the volleyball team - CAA champs to boot.

Yeah, this is fairly ancient news. I guess it made SC because it was her first official game.

Unless you're 6' 5", you may need a stepladder to hit it.

In Delaware's defense, she is from the state. I thought she didn't like basketball?

If you never attended a class are you really a transfer?? She hung out at UConn for 48 hours in the summer. There's alot more to the story about why she left then has been publicized. Tina Charles could tell you about it........

Just another opportunity for some anti UD transfer U Smack in the guise of informing folks. This isn't the first time ESPN has done stories on EDD. Her UConn 48 hours was covered like a soap opera.

At any rate here are some good stories that give some decent info. that are recent.

Don't forget the obsessive, control-freak father. Apparently he is her shooting coach at UD, and according to the News Journal article about her first game, he noticed a small flaw in her shot.

Talk about helicopter parents...

This is the second time in as many days that I've heard this, What the heck is a helicopter parent?

Someone who "hovers" around their child, especially an older child, and is always around to ensure that they can step in and get overinvolved at a moment's notice. For instance, a parent who takes a kid to get their driver's license and who handles the conversation with the DMV employee... "hi, my son is here to get his driver's license". That parent is a helicopter parent.
