Gardner-Webb loses to Liberty

Obviously, we are not the Lone Ranger here. Liberty is clearly the best team in the Big South this year. While I wish our Runnin' Bulldogs were healthy for this game [or, the last 3 games for that matter], I'm not sure it would have made a difference in the outcome. While it's nice to have a Steve Spurrier trained QB [Tommy Beecher] running your offense, Mike Brown clearly is a superior athlete and one has to wonder why he's not playing at the FBS level.

Ultimately, Liberty's depth was too much for GW.

Sorry we couldn't hook up. Your guys played a great game. I was impressed how we played the first half but your depth just wore our defense out.
