Holy Smoke! You're right. I just assumed that since Pendland had missed so many snaps he wasn't still leading FCS in scoring but he is.

Here is a little talk for you to kick around over in slumber jack land.


First, McNeese will get a first round game for thee reasons.

1) Our rank;
2) Our reputation (been there done that); and
3) Our ability to sell tickets and give the NCAA a lot of $$$$

Second, Doubtful SFA will get a 1st round game, because the selection committee will put the SLC and the BSC in the same braket, and that will put you guys going out to Montana for the 1st round, and us at home vs the 2nd BSC team to get in.

Third, IF you beat Montana (and I think that you have a good chance to do so), that will put SFA coming down to The Hole for game two IF McNeese wins in game one. Yes, that is right, the SLC AQ will have to travel to the CoChamp's house for a rematch. Ha.

And Cowboy fans and players would LOVE to get another shot in our house.

Lots of IF's but based on the past, you can bet that it is a stong possibility.

SFA being ranked so low probably will not.

I think it's very unlikely that any Southland team will to to Montana and win this year. Montana is a complete team. Nobody in the Southland is. Also, unfortunately, the 2nd Big Sky team in is likely to be Eastern Washington. That brings back some really bad memories. The 2007 McNeese team was better than this year's version and Eastern Washington still has the same QB it had then.

Frankly, I hope that if McNeese gets in they play somebody from somewhere other than the Big Sky in the first round. It'd be nice if they let them play somebody from the OVC for once.

We all assume one of the SLC team will be sent to Montana. Personally I think either SFA or MSU will be up to the task to give the Griz all they can handle this year. DF and TP have been to Wash/Griz so the wow factor will not be there for the Sr Cowboys if they end up in Missoula.
