I ran into a guy with an App state shirt on the other day here in Montana whom I thought was a bit out of place so I chatted him up, talked a little smack, and he told me that App was gonna roll into the playoffs and, should they end up at WA Griz, they'd take care of us without any effort. Needless to say I scoffed at his remarks, slapped the beer out of his hands and accused him of being a charlatan, but I'm wondering now if I may have jumped the gun on my scurrilous accusations. The mountaineers seem to be for real.

The Mountaineers & their fans traveled to Rhodes Stadium to see the football team challenged. They will leave very disappointed. You dare put up such a pathetic challenge to the Apps. Were you not supposed to be #1 at this and that and have the best players in him and him? Very sad indeed! This should make you think long and hard before you ever issue challenges to a team that is obviously far superior to you in every way. I think it is doubtful that you even make the play-offs at this point. You better hope that members of the selection committee aren’t watching this game today. I won’t even lie and wish you good luck the rest of the season. A team that plays as dirty as you deserves no good wishes.

Just got home from the game and discovered that this is the Worst game thread I've ever sifted through. xlolx No reaction to the Elon return man gettin blown up. No hollerin about all the interceptions and sacks. Sure didn't miss much:D In all seriousness, I wish that every Alum could have been there in person. Half the stadium was Black n' Gold and every one stayed until the players left the field. We were right behind the defensive bench and you could see how the crowd gave them a lift.xthumbsupx
