Great win for Mo xthumbsupx

To be fair, it was a rather pedestrian year for relievers (by which we almost always mean closers) in the AL. No one really stood out a great deal from the others like, say, last year with K-Rod

Or like Lidge in the NL last year. Mo is always an easy pick for the AL, but filling out the NL reliever ballot this year was pretty hard. Any one of about a half-dozen guys had a good case for winning.

I didn't even have Bell on my ballot, and he won! xeekx xchinscratchx

Hoffman was the only guy to appear on all seven ballots. Bell was on six; no one else appeared on more than five. Huston Street appeared on only three ballots, but was first-place on all three--the only guy to get more than one first-place vote. xrotatehx

Did you just forget about Bell? His numbers were pretty strong and he was definitely a top by far...

I must have xchinscratchx

Hoffman was my #1, but after him it got a bit dicey, and I'll admit to not knowing as much about the NL

Looking at the numbers again, a guy there who got overlooked a bit was Rafael Soriano from Atlanta. 27 saves isn't too bad, but he had 103 Ks over 75.2 innings and a sub-3.00 ERA. Not 1st place material by any means, but perhaps worthy of a vote or two

Shoot! I didn't get my ballot in on time to vote for Kevin Gregg and Carlos Marmol!

It was a long season for us Cubs fans. xbawlingxxsmhx
