Two terrific offenses, SUU is undefeated at home, the Eagles are road warriors, both teams create turnovers (top 20) which all adds up to what should be a very interesting game.

Look at SUU's schedule and it's not hard to realize why the GWAC has the #2 conference GPI. With one exception, the T-birds have no bad losses playing two FBS teams decent, coming back and almsot beating NAU and losing a close one to Poly.

They also have a pair of quality wins against Texas State and Davis. So this begs the questions, what happened last week and can you please play like that again?xthumbsupx

I'm picking Eastern for the following reasons:

SUU gives up 220/game rushing and Eastern and Matt Nichols are at their best offensively with Taiwan Jones running the ball, creating balance.

Both defenses are highly ranked in creating turnovers with 22 total for the season. But EWU has a better margin giving up the ball 14 times to SUU's 19. and Nichols has only 5 int's to Cooper's 11.

EWU is a finesse team and plays very well in shootouts.

SUU appears to be a fairly young team while EWU has 10 senior starters who have been in a win or your out situation before and have finished the last two regular seasons with 5 and 3 game win streaks.

Good luck.

A quick question for SUU fans: Are your games webcast and/or what are the chances this game will be televised by Altitude or some other network?

SUU is capable, but Eastern should win. This one could be a shoot out. xpeacex

suu is more than capable that is for sure. this sure could be a shoot out but in the end ewu has more to play for (imo). i'm rooting for ewu so that they can make the playoffs!

Kalm. There are only about 1 to 2 SUU fans on this board so don't be surprised if your questions go unanswered. Eags should win this one and I agree that it could be a shootout. Go Eags!!!

I usually don't care about the rest of the Big Sky (and despise some of the CAA posters' non-stop conference chest-puffing), but dammit, I'm rooting for EWU. That program deserves a playoff run

I've seen a few. More here than elsewhere. Still I'm guessing they'll get outposted by Griz fans even on their own thread.

I resemble that remark xeyebrowx I follow SUU a bit, need to go watch some games down there, it isn't a bad drive for me. If some other plans fall through this week, I may just go down and check this game out. xthumbsupxxpeacex

I will wear my Griz gear if I can make it, just like I did to the Mt. St. @ Weber game. I got a lot of funny looks! xthumbsupx:D

I should know in a couple days if I can make it, most likely not, but I will be watching a game live this weekend. xnodx

I'd be more optimistic with Boyce playing, but I still hope Eastern comes out with guns blazing. I really like Taiwan running the ball, but I'd like to see Nichols connect with Davis and Overbay early in the game to get into better field position. Then, use Taiwan as a short yardage threat to score. I'd hate to go into halftime with the game in the balance. I say hit 'em in the mouth from the very first snap and keep the defense fresh.

SUU has no video broadcasts for their games internet or TV unfortunately. It was hard to get updates there a few weeks ago, and then we gave up 56 points and I didn't want any updates. EWU is on a roll right now, SUU is gonna be smarting after this past weekend, but EWU is probably to tough right now, although it would be a nice win for the GWFC.

They could stop mowing it for a year and Woodward would still be a slower track.

remember their qb is left handed! is it harder to prepare for a lefty ? and i think its up to the "D" if ewu is going to win!

Our TE Nate Overbay is listed as 6'5''. He is 5'9" at Woodward...

The fastest part of the field is where the deer bed down at night...

When Woodward is cut, they use a swather, the clippings are baled and sold to local ranchers...

Taiwan Jones is touchable at Woodward...

I like EWU in this one, but SUU gave UNI a game late in the season last year at SUU

You need us to lose much more than we need you to lose. But for what it's worth...go griz. And if we both win out I hope you get in as the third Big sky bid
