Hate to report this but Towson leading Richmond 14-13 in third quarter. I sure hope we are not looking ahead on this one.

Another snap over the punter's head. That's at least five already this season. I still have eligibility, maybe I can go out for long snapper.
That was a horrible roughing the passer call though. The ref must have thought it was Tom Brady.

We're just sleepwalking through this one so far. Plenty of time left to put this thing away, but we haven't created any turnovers yet and that's what typically creates a lot of separation for us. We need to get a couple here soon.

Offense and defense looking a bit off center today. Hope things turn around soon! This could get real ugly.

TD Richmond. Shall we go for 2?
Edit: We shall. And we shall get it. Huge play by Ward.

Spiders acting like a #1 team now.
Seriously, Mike London - any interest in a 38 year old long snapper?

Karma. Towson botches a fake punt and we get it at their 2 yard line. Time to put this thing away O.
And Gaskins takes it in for the TD. 28-14 UR

Hideous snap on that extra point, but Ward got it down.

OK, everybody start an e-mail campaign to Mike London - I can do this.

No kidding. Down 1 TD in the third quarter inside your own 20 -- and you fake punt?

Spiders can just flip the switch whenever they want. They've been doing this all year.

I redshirted at OLB for the Spiders and London was my position coach. I did some long snapping in HS. Although I'm 30 lbs lighter than I was at UR, I'm still freakishly strong for my age and in good shape.
And I am 100% certain I would snap it over the punter's head fewer than 5 times in 8 games.

Assuming UR gets a stop here, we'll see the subs I think.

22 points in 2.5 minutes will do that.

Play of the game has to be Eric Ward's behind-the-back two-point conversion. Never seen anything like it, not even from A.E.

I have a horrible feeling that this issue will bite us in the a$$ at some point this season when it really matters. I can't believe we're still having snapping problems 8 games into the season.

We have to assume the coaches are worried and addressing this issue as well. I for one are in way in place to say this may be the last time it happens. But thus far it has not caused us to lose a game yet. We have to trust London and crew, time will be the judge on that. With the snaps we are 9-0. I got a feeling the long snappers will be doing some extra practice this week.

I think the special teams coach gets queasy every time the offense fails to convert on 3rd down.
We're 8-0, sure. But we haven't played a playoff lock yet. This cannot happen in playoff games.

I have to believe that lack of confidence in the snap played a part in Howard's awful pull on the FG attempt. Even though the snap was ok, the timing of the kicker looked awkward. This is a bad time of year to have this issue.

I watched the replay of the kick a few times, though only online, and it looked to me that the kick may have been tipped slightly by a Villanova player's finger. Since no one else has mentioned this anyway, I'll assume I just was seeing things, but I would be interested in hearing someone's thoughts who has the game on tape and can watch it again.

Just looked and it does not appear to be tipped. The ball is wobbly but cleared the fingers of the Nova special teams.
