SO...thought it was great with the placard "American Flag". Thought our cousins were very cool cheering the national anthem.
Here is some other news from my friends sister who is at the game (she is a huge Gator fan) with her British husband:
THERE ARE HUGE AMOUNTS OF TOP-NOTCH TAILGATING GOING ON (some sponsored by the NFL). She was shocked...and this is an SEC girl.
Apparently, they had to get their tix through a "tout" (scalper)...because the game sold out in 6 minutes.
That is crazy.

Cool.
I'm flipping between that game and the Stillers/Vikings game, at least until I head out to the local sports bar to watch the 4 pm games.
I don't mind 'international games'. It's NFL football, and there is nothing better, so I don't really care where they play.

The fans in England really have warmed to it. Last trip over, I played in a flag game in Kensington Park; was a bunch of dudes my friends sister knew that happened to be from the States, (mostly guys from Northwestern, Texas, USC, Michigan, UCLA, Syracuse and Notre Dame). It was kind of surreal with the Palace and embassies in the backdrop...and Princess Diana's memorial not to far away.
We had some Brits mixed in....and here was the cool thing: I felt like I was in a "game." With the American's, they were as good as any top-notch flag league. The Brits were scrappers.
And...a good 200 people stopped to watch the game. Apparently these games happen all over with a mix of Brits and Americans playing.
The fans sound like they are starting to "get-it" now...the cheering is "right" (as in the right spots). I also LOVE THEY ARE BOOING NEW ENGLAND :)

Too bad the game will probably end up 44-10 or something.
