The CSN Way: Playoff "Shoe"-ins?

When the FCS season begins, fans are just happy to finally be playing football against anybody, whether it’s Texas College (NAIA) or University of Texas (FBS).
Then the early season becomes about winning the games you’re supposed to win - working on mistakes and getting better, of course, but also about winning football games. Teams build towards a spot on the national radar screen, or solidify their already-strong national reputation.
But it’s at this midpoint of the season, when the stakes get higher and the games get bigger - that we start to see teams that look like early shoo-ins for the playoffs. The national contenders take care of business; and the regional pretenders step aside, wondering if they have the capability to get back into their conference title race, while others already start looking towards next year.
This week we’ll look at three games that were huge tests for six teams - which teams are more in CONTROL of their playoff destiny, and which teams might be seeing their playoff chances in a bit of, well, KAOS.
