'Bout time the coach won a national title. The guy is a very unappreciated coach, like Bobby Cox of the Atlanta Braves.

I agree that it's nice for Moore to get the recognition that he has tonight. He's had a good long career. He held his team together and got them to ratchet it up in the second half. A tremendous defensive effort. I'm glad the bone-head decision to throw that pass a the end of the game didn't bite him. Almost picked off and also stopped the clock. The call was very questionable and almost destroyed an amazing effort.

Gotta agree - he came really close to making people forget about the dumb call Baliff made the week before - throwing on second down with 1:40 to go and UNI out of timeouts was one of the worst calls you'll ever see. He got bailed out though by a real gutsy run on a night when Appy couldn't run.

Congrats to Coach. Yes it wasn't a good call but it worked out so it won't go down in the 2005 Playoffs worst plays with Super Safety and Take a Knee. :D :read:

What was "Super Safety?" I missed that one.

I think ravens is refering to the attempted safety Coastal tried to take in their last game, but the player ran out of bounds instead of the endzone...

I don't think Bobby Cox is underappreciated. The Astros' Phil Garner said Bobby Cox should be NL Manager of the Year each year and loads of media know Cox is the man...
Moore is a great coach himself and this one got him over the hump. Does anyone think this will lead to him coaching I-A?

Does anyone have Jerry Moore's record by season?
Gotta say congrats to ASU and UNI on a great championship game... too bad UNI couldn't pull it out and win by 3 AGAIN.
