Fordham with the ball first. We move it well but stall around the Cornell 40 and punt to inside the 20.

Now, our sieve like D goes to work and Cornell just moves right down the field. Flea-flicker gets it inside the Fordham 10. Cornell going in for the score inside the Fordham 7 yd line.

Fordham holds ... Cornell going for FG.

Cornell up 3 - 0.

Doesn't bode well for our D today if we don't step up better than that.

Nice!

71 yard TD pass from Skelton to Jason Caldwell!!!

7 - 3 Rams

Cornell down to our 20. Our D is truly atrocious.

Cornell with 2 draw plays and down inside our 5

4th and goal from the 1. Big hit by Clifton Stuckey to knock the QB back on what appeared to be a sure TD. Cornell appears to be going for it but calls TO

Holy crap - we stopped them on the one hair away line.

2 runs up the gut get us about a yard of breathing room. We need a few yards here or our punter is going to have a heck of a time getting this off.

Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?

98 TD pass - beautiful throw from Skelton to Asa Lucas!!!! Standing in his end zone, Lucas catches it in stride on the 50 yard line ... what a pass ... and great protection.

Fordham up 13 - 0

XP blocked! That could come back to haunt us.

Cornell tries another flea-flicker ... this one a wounded duck and we pick it off.

Skelton to Skelton for a 30+ yard gain down to Cornell 30.

We're 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter and Skelton's stats:

8 for 10 for 253 yards and 2 TD's.

btw, Cornell announcers (or iBN announcers), who are very good by the way, said that Cornell had the #1 ranked pass D in FCS heading into the game.

Going into the half up 19 - 10.

In a sequence very much indicative of our season we were up 13 - 3 and on the Cornell 25 going in for a score when Skelton threw an INT. Cornell procedes to drive to our 40 yd line where they try another flea flicker on 3rd down. We sniff it out immediately and sack the qb back near their own 40 for close to a 20 yard loss on a key play. What do we do next? Excessive celebration call after the play and it gave Cornell a first down and they go in and score to make it 13 - 10.

Fortunately Skelton came back and threw another 50+ yard TD to Caldwell to put us up 19 - 10 but those missed XP's are killing us.

Halftime stats:

Skelton: 13 of 20 for 305 yards; 3 TD's; 1 INT

Jason Caldwell: 5 rec. 158 yards; 2 TD's

Skelton has been on absolute fire. His last TD pass was a thing of beauty - threaded the needle to Caldwell who shed some tacklers for the 50+ yd score.

Well, that's because you don't need to pass against the Red xsmiley_wix

Go Rams! xthumbsupx

Wow - we just scored again - let's see if we can get the XP. Finally - we got one.

Fordham 26 Cornell 10

So our D stops them and on the first play from scrimmage, Xavier Martin goes 86 yards for the score. The refs throw a flag at the 50 for a block in the back - horrible call when seen on the replay imo and commented on as such by the one announcer - so we get the ball on the 50.

Next play? Another 50 yard Skelton to Caldwell TD pass.

False start Cornell. They're hurting themselves quite a bit when down inside our 10 today.

Cornell score, 39 - 20. We sure are at a loss on how to stop the quarterback option.

meh, no biggie ... 2nd and 3rd teamers in at that point. Nice game experience for them.

Skelton absolutely monstrous game today. 423 yards passing, 5 TD's (4 passing).

Big news on D were not only some big stops but finally some turnovers!

Nice 3 game stretch for the Rams as we head into the important part of the schedule.

Ya, the turnovers were key to the game and the big D stop on cornell's first series.
