EKU Athletics Announces All-Century Team
The Eastern Kentucky University athletics department unveiled its All-Century Football Team at a luncheon Friday in the Moberly Building. More than 200 people attended the event, including 12 of the 24 players and the coach selected to the prestigious team.
The All-Century Football Team is made up of the following positions: running back (2), wide receiver (2), quarterback (1), tight end (1), punter (1), placekicker (1), linebacker (3), defensive back (4), defensive line (4) and offensive line (5). To earn consideration for the All-Century Team, players must have met at least one of the following criteria: first or second team All-OVC honors, enshrinement in the EKU Athletics Hall of Fame, or All-American honors. Colonel fans helped determine the All-Century Team by casting their votes on-line in late August and early September at www.EKUSports.com (http://www.EKUSports.com).
