Missouri St Cuts Five Programs

This is a clip from an article this morning and now the AP is confirming that the Board decided to cut the five sports (MT&F In and Out, MXC, MTN and WTN). Very unfortunate for our friends in Springfield...


The lack of them on the revenue side of the athletic department isn't new. It has been building and will likely cost the university its men's indoor and outdoor track programs, cross country running and men's and women's tennis teams.

Its really suprisising considering the resources that MSU has. They are probably the best financed department in the MVC. Then once they get Terry Allen and their football program gets better, money will be even more abundant. I'm also suprised that they cut so many women's sports.
