Moats is the main reason the Richmond game was close, and for that matter, the main reason that the hofstra game was close. It's hard to compare since I won't lie, I have only seen two other people on the list play, but for me Moats is the team's MVP and has been a dominate force against every offense we have played. No one, including FBS Maryland, has had an answer for him.

I can honestly say I have seen everyone on this list and for me Moats is clearly one to consider. I took Ruffin but he, Batten, Moats, Anthony, and even Hart have been very dominant and all deserve first place votes at this point.

Gotta give it up for Andre Campell who's dominating at DE so far at the midway point in the season

J.C. Sherritt, LB of Eastern Washington. Leading tackler in the nation by a handful.

Leaders in TFL per game. Moats leads nation:

Sacks per game. Moats tied for 7th:

Moats leads the CAA in sacks, tackles for loss, tackles by d-lineman. Moats is actually tied for 8th in the CAA in tackles. Of the top 21 in the CAA in tackles, he is the only DL: 19 are LBs, 1 is a DB, and there's Moats.

I can't think of a more dominant D lineman to play at JMU maybe since Charles Haley back in the early 80s.

Does Moats even have a shot at winning this reward on a losing JMU team?

Way more DEs than LBs in the poll...have the DEs really been that dominant this year?
