Pathetic.

I bet it would start to climb that high if we had a place to put all those people and some lights for later game starts.

Prairie View at Alabama State
Attendance: 1236

Texas Southern at Rutgers
Attendance: 50169

Alabama A&M at Grambling St
Attendance: 2661

Miss Valley St at Alcorn State
Attendance: 2000

Ark-Pine Bluff at Jackson State
Attendance: 11082

Looks like the SWAC will not be the king of attendance this year. There's a club football team here in New Orleans that is putting more butts in the seats!

LOL - when was the last time your butt was sitting in a college football game of your alma mater or an SLC.

I wonder if I've been to more SLC games than you over the past few years. Lol.

That's great that a club football team are getting some fans probably because they are winning. I cannot speak for any other University than TSU but we haven't put a winning product on the field and I figure our average attendence will be low this year.

Very disappointing. I guess UNC, NC state, Duke and Wake all at home with rain being forcast up til gametime we were destined for a small turnout. Shame, with a game that meant so much.

The only one that is surprising is valley and alcorn. Otherwise the conference is carried on southern and the classic games. I wouldnt be surprised tp find low totals like that in years the swac lead in attendance.

They're not eliminated yet. They can still win out and make the playoffs. Just need to show up big in Ann Arbor on Saturday. xwhistlex

Club football teams don't draw - win or lose. I guess it's a novelty thing, but they are still outdrawing these SWAC games and the fans are using these games to fuel the argument for a Div I program...

To answer your question - no. I'm getting married on Saturday. Next time you come to SHSU for football, I will come. Just send me a reminder whenever you come to a game. You still haven't answered my question about he last time you been to a game for an SLC member school?

Interesting. What programs have club teams in Louisiana and Texas and do they only play against each other? How can I look up their attendance figures? Did Lamar have a club team after they got rid of football? How do they check eligibility? Could players who exhausted their NCAA eligibility play for a club team?

How was the attendance at SHSU for homecoming? I passed up my opportunity to go to that game yesterday.

Earlier this fall was the last time I attended a game featuring an SLC member school. Since you are interested in my career aspirations, you know my field and most times, doing my job overlaps with my interest in being a fan. It's hard to do both because of "competing" events.

Club teams in LA and TX are UT-Arlington and New Orleans. New Orleans has drawn 2500 and 1200 (Saints conflict) according to news releases put out after their games. They got two more games. The head coach expects 3,000 for the next game and 6,000 for the last (Homecoming).

It is not an NCAA sport and there are rules, not sure what they are. Other club teams include SIU-Edwardsville, Marquette, Wright State, Xavier (OH), Miami (OH), Radford, etc.

Oddly enough, a few of these teams play 'money games'. New Orleans played the same Concordia-Selma team that has a win over a Div I school. Also plays an NAIA in Florida later this year.

Over 11,000. Pretty good considering the foe and recent weather in the greater Houston area.
