Didn't realize it was starting tonight. I'll have to switch over to check it out during the evening.

It's a new startup league called the United Football League. There are only 4 teams in this inaugural season but they say they plan on expanding. They have a weekly game scheduled with Versus from now until Thanksgiving.. .In fact the championship game is the day after Thanksgiving. Might be a nice alternative seeing as how they have some former NFL players...I think it could develop into a sort of minor league for the NFL.
Then again it may fall flat on its face!

I guess they never heard of the USFL or XFL and how Arena is collapsing. It reminds me of the restaurant that people keep buying, opening and of course closing.... I know a dozen others failed, but I'm going to be the one to make it work. xrolleyesx

if it's a trainwreck then it's even better. as long as they survive until the game at the Trop then I'm happy. xlolx

I caught a couple of minutes during breaks in the Sox/Angels game...this is a good chance for some of these players to show that they may have what it takes for a NFL team down the stretch.

No, but I plan on watching the Florida-New York game on Saturday at 7 on HDnet.

I'm in the same boat, Matt. This will also severely hinder my ability to watch hockey this season.

I did, other than hyping JP Losman as the best QB in the world it wasn't that bad. lots of FCS guys and recognizable names.

Former Lehigh TE Adam Bergen caught a TD pass for the Loco's. ESPN had a highlight of it.

What I saw wasn't that bad (except for the uniforms and colors). Losman and his receivers were completely on different pages in the first half. Apparently that all got fized in the 2nd half. Definitely an OK level of football...but if there's a college game on and the UFL, I'm picking college almost any time.
