When the final whistle blows to end Miami's game against Florida A&M, Hurricanes coach Randy Shannon will hurry off the field.

And then he'll hurry right back out.

Miami's program changed in 1979 when they signed Jim Kelly, Schellenberger took over, and they committed to recruiting.

Who cares? Uhhhh.... the record books, students, alumni, administration, fans and Coach Schellenberger (who was told to make sure they never loss to the Rattlers ever again) who were at the game care.

Just because you weren't alive then doesn't make it a "who cares" moment. Walk up to Jim Kelly and tell him "who cares" about what he did for the Hurricane program when he played.

I mentioned the loss to FAMU because the tried and true Hurricane fans know about the loss.

The world did not start in 1980.

What was it, 6 years ago that FAMU played the Illini? They took the 100 up there and my brother who was on the Illini drumline at the time was massively impressed. They played Flight of the Bumblebee I believe.

besides it's not like the 100 hasn't been to Miami before, they've played in Super Bowls and hell FAMU played the Orange Blossom Classic down there. The 100 is nationally known.
