... unless Tebow or Tom Brady gets hurt, Favre starts talking about playing the Packers again, who's Tony Romo dating this time or T.O. does something T.O.'ish.
Would love to see Angels-Twins, but that ain't gonna happen.

I think Sox-Yankees trumps all that.
They play 20 or 30 times a year anyway xrolleyesx

I think any of the 4 teams could win 2 rounds...the matchups are all pretty good. On paper, the Yankees should win today with CC and Game 4 with him...while games 2 and 5 with AJ would be wildcards. But Minnesota could win 3 in a row vs the Yankees.
In Anaheim, the Angels could all of a sudden step it up and win 3 vs the Red Sox.
Should be good to watch.

I think the Yanks win today 8-2.

Yankees-Red Sox
NY is too good, and the Angels remind me too much of the more recent Yankee teams that couldn't do much in the playoffs

Hmmmm. The votes for Yanks-A's seem to be going up for some reason. Ten and counting. :p

Would be cool if the votes were time/date stamped. I want to go on record as being the first one to vote for Y-A. :)

Well, I guess my lack of faith in my two favorite teams was justified. Not looking good for the Sox and Twins right now.

The Yankees have unequivocably sold their souls to the devil... no way else to justify that win tonight.

If I posted how I really felt about tonight's game and the New York Yankees I would no doubt be banned.

I haven't been able to watch any of the games so far; I suppose that's probably been better for my sanity. Which was more horrific to watch, Nathan blowing the save, or the bottom of the Twins order failing to drive in a run with the bases loaded and no outs in the eleventh? (My sense is that after that, the Tex walk-off probably had an aura of inevitability . . . ) Were there any bad calls involved, or was it just the Twins collapsing?
As for the Red Sox, it doesn't seem like I've been missing much of anything. Other than that they've apparently made Lackey and Weaver look like Koufax and Drysdale.

Leading off the 11th, Mauer hit a shot down the left field line that bounced into the stands. Called foul, but was clearly fair on all the replays. The Ump who made the call was no more than 20 feet away staring up the line, so I don't know what he was looking at. If Twins fans are mad, I don't completely blame them
But, let's be serious here. The Twins had a 2-run lead in the 9th, and Nathan coughed up a single to Teixiera and a bomb to A-Rod (you know, Mr. Will-Never-Hit-in-the-Clutch xrolleyesx). Even after Mauer's double that wasn't, he still singled, and the Twins wound up with the bases loaded and nobody out. Lineout, force out at home, fly out to center. Nothing. Tex leads off the bottom of the inning with a homerun, and the Yankees win. The Twins left 17 runners on base
The umpiring, though brutal, did not cost them the game

I'm surprised to see the Angels sweep. Not necessarily surprised they won, but that it came so quickly. Guess I was a bit wrong on that pick xreadx
Yanks look to match tonight in the Metrodome xthumbsupx

I'm not surprised that Billy Wagner looked like crap in a big spot in the postseason.....and I'm sure the Phillies and Astros fans aren't either.
