UND plays their season opener this weekend hosting Merrimack. Who does UNH play??

They open up at Rensselaer Saturday night. Then they play two against Miami of Ohio next weekend at home.

What is the closest school to you that had college hockey? I am curious. I know Alabama is getting into it with some programs - Hunstville I believe.

Man I love college hockey. Really got into it when I upgraded to the premiere sports package. Considering that there isn't to many hockey teams out in California. Some of those student sections get real crazy and rowdy, looks like a lot of fun.

How awesome were the playoffs last year? Upset after upset, and last minute victories, so awesome.

Colgate opens its season this weekend at Niagara and RIT. We return a ton of offense, and start a talented, but very young, defense corps. If the young guys on the blueline are able to mature fairly quickly and give us some real defense, this team is capable of making a run at the top of the ECAC xnodx

Do Texas schools have any teams in the club leagues? Club lacrosse has been on the rise in non-varsity schools in all corners of the country, and is getting to rival the NCAA in membership. It's been a great way to bring lacrosse to schools who won't touch it due to Title IX issues and money. A lot of club lacrosse teams in the West regularly play NCAA schools now. I've heard of the club hockey leagues, but don't know much about them.

Yeah. My school UNT does. I think UT has a team and I know for sure Tech does. OU's pretty good.

Wow! Hopefully the Sioux follow their pattern of losing a lot early in the year. Have fun! I've always wanted to go to that. xnodx

UMass is 1-0!!!

Unfortunately our next game is next Friday vs. BU... so it looks like our undefeated season won't last long.

Colgate scores 2 goals late in the 3rd period to tie Niagara. Yes, we went to Overtime. Again. That's 8 in a row now, and someone on the USCHO board mentioned it was 21 of our last 41 games now that have gone to the extra session

Season opening tie makes us 0-0-1

Colgate again scores in the 3rd period, but this time it was for the win! The OT streak ends as the Raiders beat RIT 3-2

Good weekend to open up the year, 1-0-1 so far

Next, a pair of games against Nebraska-Omaha next weekend to open the home schedule

UND completes its sweep of Merrimack 3-2. Next up for the Sioux they open up WCHA conference play against their most hated rival.....MINNESOTA!!

Northeastern was at Colorado College this weekend and split, losing Friday night 4-2 and winning last night 4-3.

We lost our All American Goalie and some offense, and we're relatively young, but we have some speed this season and I'm excited about our freshmen.

We'll go as far as Chris Rawlings (our new Freshman goalie) takes us.

We did suffer a big loss as sophomore winger Steve Qualier did something to his ACL and may miss the season. Qualier had a fantastic freshman year and got banged up in our exhibition game last Saturday night.

Home opener is Friday night against Bentley.
