The Aggies are hanging tough with Boise State. With 2:54 to go in the 2nd quarter, the Broncos are up 6-0 on 2 FG's. Ags had a goal line stand early and forced a FG again in 2nd. Everyone thought it would be 42-0 by now.

Boise scores with a few seconds left in the half and are up 13-0. Ags moved the ball into long FG range and it was blocked. 13-0 at the half. Ags defense is playing well. Boise fans are a bit shocked the game isn't over already.

Aggies have really done much better than expected. Our defense is making Boise State look like a FCS team. A little more offense and we might actually be in this game.

Under 3 minutes left, with an 11 point lead, the ball on the Davis side of the field, and Boise is throwing. Obviously tossing sportsmanship aside to try and run up the score because they're worried about losing their ranking after this.

a teams gotta do what a teams gotta do...I understand your frustration but at the same time I understand why they did it, they have a future to look forward to and 11 point victories over sub BCS teams don't do that in the BCS.

34-16 final. The Aggies are the best 1-3 team in the country. Still not as good as winning.

exactly why they should beat the $H*t out of the other sub-BCS teams, they need to look like a title contenderxnodx

The Aggies are 1-3 now. Aggies fans don't know what we have yet. It's been a rough couple of years for the Aggies as they have transitioned to D1 from a once proud D2 program. Two straight losing seasons after 34 straight winning seasons has left a lot of us a bit disillusioned.
It's been a schizophrenic start to the season this year as well: we got rolled up by Fresno State, lost to Montana in the final minute after controlling the game for 3 quarters, then sleepwalked to an uninspiring win against a good D2 Western Oregon, and now we surprised everyone by hanging with Boise.
Maybe we are on our way...guess we'll see how things go from here starting next week at South Dakota.
One thing for sure, this team played with Aggie Pride tonight...and that's something we haven't seen in a while. Congrats Ags....

No sour grapes from any Aggie fans...Boise is nothing but a classy program lead by Head Coach Chris Petersen who is a former Aggie quarterback who nearly beat the Broncos when the Ags played in Boise in 1985. He was recruited by and coached by the current Aggie Head Coach Bob Biggs, and they both have the greatest respect for each other.

Come on Ags
Thanks GreatAppSt...what makes this game so surprising for us is that we are so far off the radar in the FCS that no one was really interested in this game except Aggie fans, and most of us thought it would be ugly.
If we would have won, I think it might have been a more unlikely win than when Appy beat Michigan...that was one of the greatest upsets I've ever seen...but I really felt that Appy was a very, very good team going into that game. In comparison, most Aggie fans feel like we have not been a very good team in the past couple of years, so we are really surprised by the effort tonight. It's been a long time coming.

Way to go Aggies. I would have taken the Broncos and given the 44.5 points going into this game after listening to the Fresno State game. Way to play with heart. You did your school, the Great West and the FCS proud today.xthumbsupx

Slostang...thanks, I'll be looking forward to seeing the Mustangs in Davis in November. Maybe we'll keep you guys below 60 points this year. xsmiley_wix Nice win over SDSU today.
Pround Griz...it would be great if the Griz and the Ags decide to continue their home & home series...both games the last two years have been real battles. Coach Biggs has often said he hopes to take our program to the consistent and proud level of the Griz.
