The Yale Bowl appeared nearly vacant today for the Lafayette game. Over 10K in Easton last week for Penn - but are the Pards really that bad of a draw on the road? I admit I bought two tickets online for this game but I ended up watching on television now that WBPH has gone digital and the over-the-air broadcast reception in Princeton (where I live) has become crystal-clear.

JMU at Hofstra had 2700 i believe. While the threat of weather probably kept a lot of people home, it probably would have been 5K or so in the sun. Who cares, I WAS THERE!

It is hard to see only 2700 with JMU. They are our greatest critics on attendence. I would think they would bring 2700 with them.

They usually do travel extremely well, but i think with the threat of bad weather and not for nothing, the fact that you pasted us two weeks ago, a lot of people saw this game as a no contest. Hopefully we get a decent crowd for homecoming, that would be about 7K. Problem is, up here in NY this close to the city, i can't see us ever maintaining a base like a UD or a JMU.

Thank you for clearing that up. I feel the same as you, about our base. We will never have it the equations is just not there. I will say this, it does not take a large base to win just a good package on the field and a good fan base. We have better numbers this year but nowhere close to what I would like to see each game.

13,086 at Paul Snow Stadium in Jacksonville to see the Gamecocks completely crush UT-Martin.
Interestingly, that's about 97 percent of capacity thanks to the 1,500 seats that were removed this summer during a problem with the construction. And speaking of the construction, it's even more impressive up close & personal. That's gonna be one fine facility when it's complete.

One JMU fan on their CAA board gave a recap of the game since they were in attendance, and the last point is that our attendance is so bad we shouldn't be in the CAA! Good thing there's no policy on that xthumbsupx

That gives us an average of just under 6000 for 2 home games. For Long Island thats pretty good. Hopefully we can improve on that with Coastal Carolina in 2 weeks.

From what I've heard the plans are to expand the pressbox and add luxury suites/club seats first and further on down the road would come a general expansion....but who knows when/if any of this will take place.

Remember, we only have 2000 students, and approximately 20,000 living alumni. On a ratio of living alums/attendance we are probably close to the highest percentage if not the highest.
App St. has an estimated 95,000 alumni.

Other than that anomaly against UConn bad in the 90's when we got over 9K, SBU is typically our best football draw for obvious reasons. I have no problem keeping the rivalry going.
